I understand that should I be hired, my first three months (90 days) will be considered an Introductory/Probationary Period. Should my performance, at any time during this introductory/probationary period, be less than satisfactory as an employee, I may be terminated without regard to the progressive disciplinary procedures described in the Employee Handbook. If my performance is rated unsatisfactory at the end of the introductory/probationary period, my employment may be terminated or the introductory/probationary period might be extended another three months (90 days).
In accordance with Maryland Law, an employer may not require any applicant for employment or prospective employment or any employee to submit to or take a polygraph, lie detector or similar test or examination as a condition of employment or continued employment. Any employer who violates this provision is guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine not to exceed $100.
